My first experiences with photography started almost 20 years ago, when I first got into graphic design and some television graphics. Back then I had to use whatever photos I could get my hands on and with the vast majority of quality photos being copy-written it made my job very difficult. The answer was simple, I had to take the pictures I needed myself; alas this simple idea proved to be far more difficult, especially with the technology of the time. Over the course of many years, classes, study and a whole lot of practice I finally began to master my art. My hope is that the final product is something that is timeless, tells a story and invokes emotion.
When not taking photos, my wife, Lauren and I enjoy backpacking, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with our two German Shepherds, Segen and Titus. As you can imagine, all of our hobbies give me several opportunities for unique photos.
